Quorn

Arrived at Quorn on Friday arvo after very windy trip from Port Lincoln going through Cowell, Whyalla & Port Augusta, not very inspiring.  Aunty Maz advised a visit to Quorn and a ride on the historic 'Pitchi Richie' steam train which we did yesterday.  All the children would have loved it.

Had 2 nights at Quorn, first night walked over and looked around the very quaint old town with lots of lovely historic buildings that are very well maintained, had a couple of drinks at a pub and Dad won a meat raffle!!

Following our train ride had lunch at lovely cafe in town and the power went out, walked back to caravan in the rain and no power!!  Spent the rest of the afternoon waiting for power to come back on as the weather was not very nice and it was cold.

Set off this morning heading for the Clare Valley,  nice drive through lots of lovely little towns with beautiful old stone houses, stopped for a cupa along the way

Staying at Auburn about 24 klms from Clare.  Decided to make this stop for a couple of days and tour a few wineries, just a little out of town at the local oval.  Nice little park with just a few vans and nice friendly people
